Managing
your Instagram account
Instagram is built on images. A business that has something to show can build recognition here and receive messages from customers. If there is not enough material, we say so in the first conversation and suggest other channels.
Who Instagram works for, and who it does not
Instagram suits industries where the results of the work can be shown: interiors, construction, food service, beauty, fashion, photography, weddings, tourism, handicrafts, automotive. There, material is created as part of everyday work.
It is much harder for businesses whose product cannot be seen: financial services, software, consultancy, technical wholesalers. It can be done, but the material has to be produced deliberately, which raises the cost of running the account and calls for a different content idea.
Lack of material is a common reason why attempts fail. A business sets up an account, posts photos of the office and charts for two months, and then stops. What remains is a profile that has been silent for months and does not encourage anyone to get in touch.
Reels, or short video
Reels are short videos that can also reach people who do not follow you. That is why they have a permanent place in the content plan.
A Reel does not need film production. Simple material works well: how something is made, a before and after, an answer to a customer's question, a detail you would not normally see. You record it on your phone following our guidance, steadily and in good light, and we take care of the editing.
We open a Reel with the most interesting shot, not with the company name and logo, because the opening decides whether anyone watches the rest. Businesses that record on their own often start with the logo, and that is easy to fix.
A Reel with one specific point is easier to watch to the end than a longer video about three things at once.
Stories: everyday contact with your followers
Stories keep you in touch with people who already follow your profile. A reply to a Story lands in your messages, so that is often where a conversation about a job begins.
Stories do not have to be polished: a photo from a building site, a short clip from the workshop, a poll with a question for your audience. This means not every piece of material has to be prepared as if for a photo shoot.
We save the most interesting Stories as Highlights on the profile. Someone who lands on the account for the first time gets an organised overview straight away: projects, answers to common questions, customer reviews and contact details.
- Stories several times a week, including unprepared material
- Polls and questions for your audience
- Highlights organised by topic
- Replying to reactions in messages
- Location tagging for local businesses
- Reusing the best Stories after a few weeks for new followers
The profile as a whole
A new visitor sees the grid of recent posts all at once and judges the business on that basis before opening a single post.
That is why we plan posts with an eye on how they look side by side: colours, the rhythm of light and dark shots, alternating close-ups and wide shots. The aim is for the grid not to look random.
Your bio should say in two lines what you do, for whom and where. The link in the bio leads to a specific page, ideally the one your current posts are about.
Collaborations and customer content
A photo of the result posted by a customer and tagging your business shows others that someone was pleased enough to share it. It is worth using this systematically rather than relying on chance.
We ask customers to tag the business in their posts and we share that material on the profile. For services with eye-catching results, such as interiors, weddings, automotive or food service, this is a valuable source of content.
We recommend collaborations with local creators when you have a specific, local audience. We advise against paying large accounts with an undefined audience, because the effect of such a collaboration is hard to measure.
- Posting only finished results, without the process
- Reels that open with a logo instead of the most interesting shot
- The same material copied from another platform, tags and all
- A bio that does not say what the business does
- Buying followers
Sales: product tagging and the path to an enquiry
Shops can tag products directly in posts, which shortens the path from interest to basket. This requires a properly prepared product catalogue, the same one used in campaigns (more on our page about online shops).
In services the path is different: an enquiry comes in as a message, not through a basket. That is why the profile needs a visible way to get in touch, and replying to a message must not take several days, because in that time the customer may write to another company.
Replying to messages is part of the service. We agree response hours and a list of ready answers to recurring questions.
I am happy with the company's services. Recommended!
Scope and cost of account management
Managing Instagram usually costs more than managing other platforms, because it requires video material and a more frequent presence in Stories. We price every scope individually and prepare a free quote within 24 hours.
| What the cost depends on | What it means |
|---|---|
| Number of posts and Reels | How many posts, carousels and Reels are published each month |
| Stories | How often we appear in Stories and how many Highlights we maintain |
| Editing | Whether we edit your recordings or produce the material from scratch |
| Content shoot | Whether a photo and video shoot is needed |
Instead of you doing the recording, we can organise a content shoot. For venues where the surroundings matter, it is worth combining it with drone filming and preparing material for Instagram and Facebook from a single trip.

We check whether there is enough to create content from. If there is not, we say so plainly.
Tidying up the profile
Bio, link, Highlights, visual consistency, contact settings.
Content plan and material
Post categories, a schedule, a photo shoot or instructions on what to record.
Posts and Stories
Posts, Reels and a regular presence in Stories, with replies to messages.
Collaborations
Customer content, tags and, where relevant, collaborations with local creators.
Report and adjustments
Which formats worked, what we are changing, which material to move into campaigns.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Sometimes it does, but it needs a content idea and deliberately produced material. If there is nothing to show and that cannot be changed, we advise against Instagram and suggest focusing the budget on other channels.
We agree the number of Reels together with the scope, depending on how much material can be recorded. Regularity matters more than the number: a steady rhythm over several months achieves more than a burst of Reels in one month followed by a long break.
You do not, although material recorded on site, during work, shows the business best. We tell you exactly what to record and how, and we take care of the editing. The alternative is a content shoot.
We advise against it and we do not buy followers ourselves. Bought accounts are not customers: they do not send messages, they do not place orders, and they lower the engagement rate on your posts.
Usually yes, but with separate content for each platform. We write more about the other platform on our page about Facebook management.
Yes: Reel reach, follower growth, clicks on the link in the bio and the number of messages. The last one matters most, because it is the closest to a real enquiry.
