What SEO is

SEO is the work of making your site answer the questions people type into a search engine better than your competitors' sites do. It has three layers: technical (can Google read the site and does it load quickly), content (does it answer the query) and external (do other sites treat it as trustworthy).

It is ongoing work. Competitors develop their sites too, and Google changes its algorithm several times a year, so the effect of a one-off service is hard to sustain. That is why we work in monthly cycles and tell you upfront what will be produced in a given month.

What we don't do

We do not buy links from link farms and we do not create pages for cities you do not actually travel to.

What exactly we do as part of SEO

We set the scope based on the audit. It most often covers the following work:

  • Initial audit: indexing, speed, structure, content, competitors
  • Keyword analysis by intent, not just search volume
  • Technical optimisation: Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects
  • Content for service pages and articles that answer questions
  • Link building from relevant sites, without directories or spam
  • Internal linking between services, the blog and local pages
  • A monthly report with rankings, traffic and number of enquiries

Choosing keywords: intent matters more than volume

A common mistake when choosing keywords is chasing the phrases with the highest search volume. A local company will struggle to compete for a phrase like “websites”, and traffic from such a general query rarely turns into a job.

That is why we choose phrases by intent: does the person typing the query want to buy, compare or just read? Purchase-intent phrases are rarer, but they are the ones that lead a customer to send a request for a quote. We also assess the realistic chances: if the top ten results are held by large sites with thousands of links, it is better to pick a neighbouring phrase.

Query typeExampleWhy we target it
Transactional“online shop quote”, “business website price”They lead to a request for a quote
Local“SEO agency Lublin”, “website design Zamość”Usually less competition than for nationwide phrases
Problem-based“shop loads slowly”, “site dropped out of Google”The customer has a problem now and is looking for someone to fix it
Informational“what is Core Web Vitals”They build visibility before the customer makes a decision

The technical layer: indexing, speed, redirects

Content will not work if the crawler cannot read it or the page loads too slowly. In technical audits we often find redirects left untidied after an old migration, thousands of URLs generated by filters, images at their original camera size and a sitemap pointing to pages that no longer exist.

Fixing the technical layer often gives the fastest effect in the whole project, because it unlocks content that already exists.

  • Indexing: what Google sees, what it does not, and why
  • Core Web Vitals and real speed on mobile devices
  • Structured data: business, services, products, reviews, FAQ
  • Tidy redirects and canonical URLs
  • Sitemap, robots.txt and handling of 404 errors

If you want to see what state the site is in first, you can order a standalone SEO audit. You get a task list ordered by impact, which is useful even if you implement the changes yourself.

Monthly report with commentary

Every month you receive a summary: rankings for tracked phrases, search traffic, number of enquiries and the work completed. Plus a commentary: what these numbers mean and what we will do the following month.

The commentary makes it quick to spot a problem. Growing traffic without growing enquiries may mean poorly chosen phrases, and it is better to make that correction in the third month than in the twelfth.

How long it takes and what it depends on

The first changes are usually visible after 2–3 months, clear results after six. The pace depends above all on the site's starting point and how competitive the industry is. A service company in a smaller town usually gains visibility faster than a shop competing with nationwide chains.

The second factor is the pace on your side. If content needs expert review and approval takes two weeks, the project slows down however quickly we work.

Link building without directories or spam

Links from other sites are still an important signal for Google. What counts is their quality and relevance: a link from an industry portal that people actually read carries different weight from entries in directories set up purely for linking.

We work with topical publications, expert articles and natural mentions, for example in project descriptions on partners' sites or in industry materials. It is slower than buying a package of links, but it greatly reduces the risk of a penalty and of rebuilding visibility from zero.

We also keep an eye on the link profile you already have. Sometimes, after past work with another agency, there are links left that now harm the site. In that case we clean them up before we start building new ones.

What the cost of SEO depends on

SEO is billed as a subscription. The fee depends on the number of phrases, how competitive the industry is and how much content needs to be written. We price every project individually and prepare a free quote within 24 hours. Typical scope options look like this:

ScopeWho it is for
LocalA service company in one city, Google Business Profile and a few phrases
StandardA company with several services and a regional area of operation
Shop or multiple locationsLarge catalogue or a dozen or so cities
One-off auditWhen you want to know what is wrong first

We do not charge extra for reports or calls. If more content is to be produced in a given month, we agree it with you in advance.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

First changes usually show after 2–3 months, with clear results after 6. The pace depends on how competitive the industry is, the site's starting point and how quickly content is approved.

No. The order of results is decided by Google's algorithm, so we do not make that promise. We commit to the agreed scope of work, transparency and monthly reports.

We work in monthly cycles. SEO takes time, but we do not tie clients into multi-year commitments.

With a new site, the structure and content can be set up correctly from the start, instead of fixing mistakes years later.

Yes, if we narrow the scope. With a smaller budget we focus on local phrases and technical fixes. See local SEO.
