Building
websites
A website is often the first place where a customer meets your business. We design websites that look good and lead visitors straight to getting in touch.
Why a business needs a website when it already has a Facebook page
The reach of a social media profile is decided by an algorithm, and platform rules can change at any moment. Your own website gives you far more control over content, design and data.
The second reason is search. Someone who types a service into Google is more likely to land on the website of a company that describes that service in detail than on a social media profile. It is often someone who is already looking for a contractor.
The third is credibility. Before a larger purchase, customers check whether a company really exists: whether it has an address, a tax ID (NIP), past projects and reviews. A website gathers this information in one place, so you don't have to send it by email on request.
What exactly you get in the project
We agree the scope before we start and put it in the contract. No “extra quote” for obvious things turns up halfway through the work.
- Visual design prepared for your business and its visual identity
- Built on WordPress in most cases, or on custom code when the logic is unusual
- A panel for editing content, images and subpages yourself
- Mobile version designed first
- Search engine optimisation as part of the project
- Contact forms with spam protection
- SSL certificate, backups and uptime monitoring
- Training on how to use it and support after launch
An online shop, client portal, calculator or integration with an inventory system is priced separately, and we tell you so at the start. See also online shops and web applications.
What determines the cost of a website
We have no fixed price list, because a one-page site for a sole trader and a website integrated with an ERP system are completely different projects. We price every project individually, after a short conversation about the scope. The quote is free and you get it within 24 hours. Below are the types of websites we build most often.
| Type of website | What it includes |
|---|---|
| One-page site | A single scrolling page, a form, a map, up to 5 sections |
| Company website | A few to a dozen or so subpages, an editing panel, a blog, SEO |
| Large website | Many services and locations, SEO content, integrations |
| Online shop | Catalogue, payments, couriers, inventory integration |
The number of non-standard features and the amount of content to be written. The number of subpages on its own matters less: ten similar service subpages cost less than one calculator with custom logic or an integration with a system that has no documentation.
On top of the build cost, there are annual fees for the domain and hosting. The cheapest hosting can end up costing more than it saves. We cover this in the article the cheap hosting trap.
WordPress, custom code or a website builder: which to choose
The choice depends on how the website is going to grow and who will be changing it. Below is a comparison of three options.
| Solution | When it makes sense | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress | A company website with a blog, content and regular changes | Easy editing, a wide choice of plugins, regular updates required |
| Custom code | A website with unusual logic or very high speed requirements | Full control, no unnecessary code, higher cost of changes |
| Website builder (Wix, Squarespace) | A temporary one-page site to start with, when only time matters | Quick start, but hard to move to another platform and less control over SEO |
Most businesses get WordPress from us. The reason is practical: when our cooperation ends, you are left with a popular system that another company or agency can also look after.
Website builders are a separate matter. A one-page site on Wix can be enough for the first few months, but once the business grows, moving it to another platform usually means building the website from scratch. If you already have a website on a builder, we can move it with redirects, which reduce the risk of losing your Google rankings.
Loading speed included in the project
A large share of traffic to company websites comes from phones, often on an average connection. A slow-loading website puts some visitors off before they see your offer.
That is why we look after speed from the first sketch. Our standard set looks like this:
- WebP images with a JPG fallback
- Critical CSS in the page code, the rest loaded asynchronously
- No libraries added “just in case”
- Fonts hosted on our own server, with no requests to external domains
- Server-side caching and correct browser headers
- Core Web Vitals measured before handover and after launch
We have written more about what Google measures today and how to improve it without rebuilding the whole website in the article Core Web Vitals in practice.
SEO built into the project from the start
A common scenario: a company orders a good-looking website, realises six months later that customers can't find it, and orders “SEO”. Then it turns out that the URL structure is random, the headings are images and every subpage has the same title. Fixing this on a finished website usually costs more than getting it right at the design stage would have.
We plan the site structure around the queries people in your industry type into search engines. We group them, and only then decide which subpages to create and how they should link to each other.
- A separate subpage for every service you actually sell
- Titles and descriptions written for customer queries
- Correct heading hierarchy and a clear URL structure
- Structured data: business, services, breadcrumbs
- Sitemap and robots file configured at launch
- Internal linking between services and blog posts
If you want visibility in a specific city, the website alone is not enough. You also need a Google Business Profile and local subpages. We handle this as part of local SEO, and we cover visibility more broadly on the page about website SEO.
Four mistakes we see most often
We are often contacted by companies that already have a website and want to improve it. On these websites the same problems come up regardless of the industry.
- No phone number in a visible place, so the customer has to search for it
- An “About us” page longer than the description of the services the company earns from
- A form with a single “message” field, after which you have to ask follow-up questions anyway
- Stock photos that appear on many other websites in the industry
These mistakes usually don't require rebuilding the website, which is why we start with them before suggesting bigger changes.
Fast and efficient delivery, I can give five stars and recommend them with full confidence.
Who we build websites for
We work with businesses from the Lublin region (Lubelskie Province) and Warsaw, and remotely across Poland: from sole traders to companies with extensive infrastructure and ERP systems. The industry matters, because in each one something different makes a customer send an enquiry.
In workshop services, a visible phone number and the range of services are what count. In manufacturing, technical specifications and the catalogue. In restaurants, current opening hours and a menu that can be read on the page without downloading a PDF file. We design the page layout around these needs.
- Service businesses: workshops, clinics, offices, law firms
- Manufacturers and industrial companies with a product catalogue
- Property developers and estate agencies with development pages
- Hotels, guesthouses, wedding venues and restaurants
- Trading companies that also want to sell online
- Organisations and foundations raising support
You can find examples of our work from various industries in our portfolio.
Working together
How we work together, step by step
Conversation and analysis
We learn about your business goal, target group and competitors. We agree what the website should achieve: more phone calls, better enquiries or quicker customer service.
Structure and wireframe
We plan the site structure based on search queries, then create a wireframe of the key screens. You approve it before anyone starts designing.
Visual design
A custom layout matched to your company's visual identity. You get it for approval before development begins.
Development and content
We build the website, add the content and test it on real devices. You can follow progress at any time at a separate test address.
Launch and support
We launch the website, move the domain with no downtime, train you on the panel and stay on hand for support.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
The cost depends mainly on the number of non-standard features and the amount of content to be written, and to a lesser extent on the number of subpages. A one-page site, a company website and a website with integrations are different scopes of work, which is why we price every project individually. You get a free quote within 24 hours after a short conversation, and we put the scope and cost in the contract.
We complete a typical project in 3–6 weeks. The timeline depends most on how quickly you supply content and approvals, which is why we set these out in the schedule.
Yes. We set up a content management system and give you training. Changing text or a photo, or adding a post, needs neither our involvement nor an extra fee.
We can rebuild it. Migration with correct redirects is standard for us, because without them it is easy to lose traffic from Google.
Yes. We design the mobile version first, because a large share of visitors come from phones.
Yes. We have our own hosting offer with servers in Poland, and we handle domain registration and transfer. You can also stay with your current provider.
